Eagle Nebula (M16)
Messier 16 (NGC 6611), also known as Eagle Nebula, is an open cluster and emission nebula in the constellation of Serpens (Cauda) at a estimated distance of 9000 lightyears. The nebula spans an area of about 120′ x 25′. In the center of the nebula one can find the famous ‘pillar of creation’ imaged by Hubble Space Telescope.
The images was created as a classical LRGB with some addition of Ha data to the red channel. North is at 2 o’clock.
